Coaching sessions for juniors who are 9 years or older will commence on Tuesday 3 May at 5pm.

The sessions will initially last one hour. The coaches this year will be Derek Crosby, Carol MacDonald and Barney Mackie with support from George Dyer. As with previous years, there may be occasions when the coaches may have to ask for assistance from parents in terms of monitoring junior numbers.
This tuition is provided through the auspices of Carrbridge Golf Club and “ClubGolf” Highland and is intended to increase the number of junior golfers and to aid them in progressing to attaining an official CONGU handicap. Several of our members already have a “club” handicap and we hope to add to this number with other members and also move some on to full handicaps.
Some of the more “senior” juniors will be invited to join in the monthly 9 Hole Texas Scrambles which the club are organising this season. These will provide valuable experience in competitive (but friendly) situations and are a format where everyone contributes to the team effort (another valuable lesson).
In order to make provision for the future purchase of golf equipment for juniors, we reluctantly have decided that we must charge a fee of £2 for each coaching session. We hope that you understand that the state of the club’s finances require that we take a responsible attitude to our future.
